NGC 4565, the Needle Galaxy

This huge spiral galaxy is about 50-70 million light years away. I got about 5 hours' integration time over two nights at the Yanna Research Station, half luminance and half RGB. First real outing for the Askar OAG and the ASI1744mm mini guide camera, as well as having the mount overhauled by the factory. Found that I can do five-minute subexposures now, which works super-well with the great dynamic range available at gain 53. That's my go-to now for LRGB.
