Deer Lick Group with NGC 7331 & Supernova 2025rbs, Stephan's Quintet

A hilarious night of imaging. Several friends at the Yanna Astronomical Research Station, but dewfall or work in the morning drove off all but Bonnie and me. We had gone down for naps and I'd gotten up to check on progress as the clouds rolled in; I had heard her get out of the car when I noticed it...raining?

Fastest teardown EVAR.

I'd managed to get ~3 hours in before that, though, LRGB with 25 minutes of hydrogen-alpha. The H𝛼 really showed up the supernova. Single luminance frames did too, but it was lost in the galactic core after integration. I considered wonking on the processing to highlight it but decided on this presentation instead.

BTW, we got all four of our scopes (and 1 dog) safely into our cars.
