The Heart Nebula in H-Alpha and O-III

Narrowband hydrogen and oxygen filters were used to make this false-color image of the Heart, IC 1805. Most of the detail comes from a series of 34x180s H-alpha frames, which I used for luminance. For color, 5x600s Ha for red, 4x600s OIII for green; I blurred those a bit so that their higher noise would be less apparent (the eye is much better at picking up luminance contrast than it is color shading).
