We dragged out for a little bit but beat feet when we heard voices and the telltale paddle-against-boat bonking noise of the Newbie Canoeist. There were some people who'd obviously never seem a canoe before. I helpfully informed one pair that bow and stern paddlers should sit both facing forward, not facing each other...
