Trifid Nebula (starless)

The Trifid is a beautiful combination of hydrogen emission (red) and starlight-reflection (blue). We often remove stars digitally to process dimmer parts of the image without blowing the stars out; here, I liked how that looked so well I didn't restore the stars. Right in the Milky Way, the starfield is so dense that it would really distract from the cloudy gorgeousness of the nebula itself.
